Getting used to the new computer was a delight, mostly. Some issues remain, notably with the lack of ports and the number of external things I need, but overall great joy. The speed of the thing often makes me think it has read my mind. Excellent downtime too, after the usual, hectic, we-must-have-it-by-the-end-of-the-year rush. Boosted too, which is nice.
Highlights of the month:
- Hanukah latkes were a dream
- Clean bill of health from the dermatologist, but …
- … GP put me on a “natural statin” for a trial of 3 months
- Cancelled a long-anticipated trip to the UK, because omicron
- Had a little dog visit for a week, which was nice
- Really got into Python, pandas and matplotlib
- The Main Squeeze advanced her booster
- Bound books of watercolour paper for her
- Two days in the country
Activities
Making books of selected watercolour paper for The Main Squeeze, hand-bound using coptic stitch, was undoubtedly the most satisfying activity of the month. Plenty of work to go to reach mastery, but lots of autonomy and purpose, and it is rewarding to think that I could do this for any kind of paper, at any time, in any size. Aside from that, many good meals cooked, and lots of rewarding time spent getting small Python scripts to do what I want.

Goals
I found a better way to count old posts brought in, which suggest ~100 for November and ~70 for December, so definitely getting on top of that. Only 6 new posts. There were a few other things I did not keep on top of, but I have no regrets and I will not beat myself up or make promises I cannot keep. On the plus side, very happy with everything I did do.
